So what's new for the Led Zeppelin band? A court trial for infringement!

Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" is headed before a jury. In May 2014, a trustee for the estate of former Spirit guitarist Randy California (real name: Randy Wolfe) filed a lawsuit against Zeppelin for copyright infringement. The suit claimed Jimmy Page's introduction to the 1971 classic "Stairway" was improperly inspired by Spirit's 1968 instrumental "Taurus" after the two bands toured together. The case eventually moved to a federal court in California, where Zeppelin in February asked a judge to decide in their favor without a trial. On Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Gary Klausner ruled that the introduction to "Stairway" sounds enough like "Taurus" for a jury to hear both sides. A trial is set for May 10 in Los Angeles.

Led Zeppelin is known for their ground breaking music and long lasting, popular stage presence at their live concerts on stage.

Led Zeppelin music is a combination of different music styles like blues, folk, reggae and hard rock and roll, almost heavy metal.

Led Zeppelin were invited to perform at the Woodstock Music Festival but manager Peter Grant stated: "We were asked to do Woodstock, I said no because at Woodstock we'd have just been another band on the bill." For a list of other bands that said "no thank you" to Woodstock visit, Woodstock Was.

What's new for Led Zeppelin fans? I found out that the first installment in what the band describes as an "extensive reissue program" of its nine studio albums that have been remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. Moreover, each record will come out as a single-disc remastered album or as a "Deluxe Edition" with a bonus disc of previously unreleased studio and live tracks that the group recorded around the time of the album. The new versions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III will all hit stores on June 3rd.
